The War
"The war began not with ambition, nor conquest, but with grief. Because Lucifer, bringer of light, prince of ruin, lost something precious.
Not a weapon, not a throne. A jewel.
A rose.
Vanished in a breath, without a trace. Some say the rose was stolen by fate, while others claim is was hidden for it’s own protection. But all agree on one thing: when the rose disappeared, Lucifer's fury ignited a war that tore through the realms.
They say the heavens trembled when he realized his rose was gone. He shattered the moon in wrath and cracked the firmament searching for her. Realms bled into one another. The skies darkened. Oceans wept salt and ash.
And when even the heavens refused to answer him, his wrath turned outward.
Toward us.
The mortal world, caught between heaven and hell, became a battlefield. Demons clawed through the veils of reality, flooding cities and scorching fields. No army could withstand their numbers. No blade could touch their cursed flesh.
Until the conduits appeared.
Relics of power. Divine gifts whispered to be born of heaven's mercy. No two conduits are alike; some grant fire, others shadow, and a few—a silence deeper than death. Wielded by those chosen, these artifacts turned ordinary soldiers into something else entirely.
Slayers.
They became our shield, our sword, our vengeance—warriors bound by oath and by the will of the conduits themselves.
With them, we fought back. Pushed the demons into retreat. Bought peace with blood and sacrifice.
Still, Lucifer searches.
Some say he believes she is hidden among us, buried in mortal flesh, her memory lost.
Others whisper that she remembers everything. That she's merely waiting to be found.
And in that waiting, kingdoms tremble.
Because roses have thorns.
And even a sleeping flower can bleed."
